Ladies and Gentlemen,

I wanted to make you aware of another charity that is a “charity of charities” of sorts. It is Live it BIG. And the first beneficiary of Live it BIG is our very own Friday Harbour! The Live it BIG festival is coming up September 6 on the Washington corridor, and we have BIG things in store! This upcoming weekend we’re selling wristbands for the event. I thought I would let Cathy, the founder of Live it BIG, tell the story first:

Subject: Special Promotion this weekend — Live It BIG Festival

As some of you know, the reason I started this charity was because I lost someone very close to me. Her birthday would have been this Saturday, August 29th. In her honor, we will be offering a wristbands for the reduced price of $30 this weekend only. The wristbands are normally $40 and they will be that price the day of, so you definitely want to come find us this weekend. Remember, this is all for charity so you are drinking with a mission!

We will be at Drinkery and Reign on Friday, Aug. 28th around 10pm till whenever. Saturday, we will be at Pearl and Lot also from 10pm till whenever. You will need a wristband to gain access to the Festival, the drink specials and the party. So, come find us this weekend! We will be in t-shirts with the logo on them.

Speaking of specials, here’s what I know:
$1-2 beer, $2-3 shots & $3-4 drink specials from St. Arnold’s, Bacardi, Dos Equis, Tecate, Stoli, Frozen Sweet Tea Vodka, Frozen Cosmos, Miller Beers, Jell-o shots and more but I can’t remember (I’m beat people!)
